Job Responsibilities:
- Perform quality repair and service work on customer bikes
- Be welcoming and inclusive to all customers
- Explaining repairs to the customer, both required and suggested maintenance
- Building new bikes
- Helping customers on the sales floor when needed
- Keeping a clean, organized, and well stocked workspace
- Remaining professional and helpful during times of high traffic
Required experience:
- Extensive knowledge of bike part functions and compatibility
- An understanding of prior and current trends in the bike industry
- Truing wheels
- Adjusting all types of shifting
- Bleeding brakes
- Building bikes
- Replacing internal cables
- Processing warranties
- BB/Headset pressing
Preferred Skills:
- Organization
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Basic computer knowledge, experience with Lightspeed is a plus
- Self-Driven, motivation
- Advanced mechanic experience, including but not limited to:
- Suspension servicing
- Advanced diagnosis and creak location
- Wheel-building
